The Minden Hills Fire Department provides emergency response and fire protection, prevention, and education to our community.
The Minden Hills Fire Department is comprised of dedicated men and women who volunteer their time to serve whose who live, work and visit the Township. The Minden Hills Fire Department is staffed by a Fire Chief, Deputy Fire Chief and a General Clerical Assistant; along with 4 Volunteer Captains, Training Officer and 20 Firefighters.
Our team of volunteer emergency services members are on call 24-hour a day. They respond to incidents such as structure fires, wildland fires and vehicle fires, medical emergencies, rescue situations, motor vehicle collisions and community events. Our team members train weekly and work hard to become certified in this profession, they practice their skills to provide the best service that they can to the community.
Our department is community focused and we strive to promote Fire Prevention and Safety Awareness by providing public fire safety education on a number of topics such as smoke and carbon monoxide alarms, fire escape planning, fire safety and seasonal fire safety.
