The Township of Minden Hills is pleased to announce that the Newsroom and Emergency Alerts features of its website have been recently reformatted in order to better provide subscribers with information in a more navigable format. Changes include:
- The Newsroom has been reformatted to give users the ability to filter posts by category, set posts per page and view posts by week. Coming soon to this feature is an Archive page for searching through older posts. The following categories are now incorporated into the reformatted Newsroom: Elections, Employment Opportunities, Events, News & Notices (previously “Media Releases”), Road Closures, Tenders & Tax Sales and Weather Related Notices.
- The Emergency Alerts feature has been enhanced to provide better visibility and communication in the event of an emergency situation. Features include a “Splash Screen” notification that will automatically pop up on the website’s homepage during an emergency. Users will also have to ability to filter posts by category, set posts per page, view posts per week and access archived emergency posts.
Emergency Alerts Testing: If you are currently a subscriber to the Emergency Alerts emails, please note that the Township has scheduled testing of this feature on Friday March 3, 2017 between the hours of 8:30 am and 4:30 pm. Subscribers may receive test email(s) during this period. The word “TEST” will be included in any test email. Please disregard these “Test” emails. All reasonable attempts will be made to keep testing to a minimum to reduce email buildup. We thank you in advance for your patience and understanding during this testing period and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
