The Minden Food Bank’s Christmas Basket program will be operating again this year to assist families in need. Donations of gifts and non-perishable food items are being requested.
Those wishing to donate are asked to deliver all items directly to the Minden Community Center on December 18th & 19th, 2017 from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm. Donations may also be dropped off at the Township Administration Office during regular business hours until Friday December 15th, 2017 in support of the program.
Financial contributions are welcome as well. The Minden Food Bank is a registered charitable organization. If a receipt is required, please provide your complete name and address with your donation. Please make cheques payable to the Minden Food Bank.
Volunteers are also needed, and welcome at the Minden Community Centre between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm on December 18th, 19th & 20th, 2017 to help pack the boxes, prepare the gifts and disperse the baskets.
All food and gifts will be distributed on Wednesday, December 20th, 2017 between 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm.
Those families requesting a Christmas Basket are asked to register with the Minden Food Bank by calling 705-286-6400 on the following dates:
- Monday, November 27th to Friday, December 1st from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm.
- Monday December 4th to Friday, December 8th from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm.
